Pro-Bono Services

Shining Sea Fisheries Consulting provides pro-bono work in service to two core missions:

• To support commercial fishermen in advocating for protection and restoration of fishery habitats;
• To support commercial fishermen in advocating for solutions to the climate crisis that safeguard our planet, our oceans, and our wild seafood systems.

Shining Sea Fisheries Consulting can provide the following services as part of its pro-bono partnerships program:

• Grant writing and fundraising
• Campaign management
• Desk research
• Science communication
• Community outreach

• Newsletters and e-blasts
• Organization building: incorporation, 501(c)3, board training
• Strategic planning and visioning processes

We welcome inquiries from groups and associations of commercial fishermen in North and South America. Priority is given to groups with small budgets and without full-time staff and to those who can contribute in-kind resources of their own.
